NEWSFLASH!  Future plans for Lonesome Historic Site have been revealed!  Click here to learn more!

Our goal is to create a pioneer park on the grounds of the historic Lonesome cabin in Burns, Tennessee. Built in 1821 for William G. Austin and his wife, Dicy Horner Austin, this cabin is the oldest dwelling in South Dickson County as well as the town Burns. The Lonesome Historic Site will preserve the cabin and other pioneer treasures for generations to come. Please join us in the preservation of this historic place by donating to our non-profit organization, Friends of Lonesome Historic Site.
